Re: Maui July - advice please

If you only have two kites bring them both. You may need to find a 6m. I was on Maui in May and it was averaging 30 mph per day with gusts to almost 40. I'm a little heavier than you (170) and was on my 7m every day (completely over powered).

Re: Road Trip from San Francisco to San Diego

Jalama is awesome if the wind is blowing. Cool camp ground and decent burgers in the little store. Definitely worth a stop.

Pismo is also great. Go to Grover beach just south of Pismo.

Re: Kiting in Aruba

I asked this question on a similar thread, but since this one is more active I'll ask again:

Do people kite from Eagle Beach? Can you?

Re: Kiting in Aruba

Wow ogm! You obviously have some strong feelings about Aruba. I think you made your point(s) clear. For others on this forum who may feel a little differently about Aruba, myself included, I appreciate all of the input on the destination. We're heading there in June for a couple weeks. Staying in Ea...

Re: Aruba: Can you kite at Eagle Beach

Hypothetically, if we were to stay at the Marriott Ocean could we avoid renting a car for the whole 2 weeks. And just rent one for a day or two for "outings" say like Boca? Wondering if the money we'd save by staying in Eagle would end up being a wash once you factor in a car rental for the whole tr...

Re: Aruba: Can you kite at Eagle Beach

Thanks for the reply. Seems like it's pretty much offshore and gusty on that whole side of the island. Including Fishermans huts.

Aruba: Can you kite at Eagle Beach

I've been searching for a few hours and can't seem to find anything about kiteboarding at Eagle Beach in Aruba. I know the more popular spots are Fisherman's huts and Boca Grandi but wondering if there are any restrictions with kiting at Eagle Beach. Looking at booking a 2 week vacation in June with...

To each their own. Traffic is totally avoidable.

Re: Kite Trip for June- Need Some Help!

You should consider the San Francisco Bay Area. Tons of locations and varied conditions (waves, flats, etc.). It's not as warm as the places you mentioned, but worth putting on the list. Might be cool to rent an RV and tour the whole area including Sherman island, 3rd Ave, Crissy field (advanced), a...
