LF boards

I had an '05 LF Drop LTD which separated at the tip. Gabe @ LF replaced it with a new '06 LTD. No problems with the new one despite many hard landings and powered loops. Like any mass produced item a few problem boards will get sent out to consumers. The fact that you have broken multiple LF boards ...

5th line

I am a 5th line convert. My Octanes came with the 5th standard. I rig all my '05 Fuels to ride 5th. I really like the SS system which allows you to sheet with the 5th line. A static 5th helps the flight characteristics of the kite but you miss out on the imporved depower and the ability to "fine tun...

What did you want to know about them? Clean, easy system. Nice to keep you struts inflated when you need to deflate the LE. Buy a bag of the little zip-ties when you replace the hoses. Prep the nipple with an alcohol swab to make the hose stick to it better (don't use glue). I've heard guys say they...

kites in car

It is possible that the glue used for the valves/nipples can decay more rapidly when left in a hot car, even when not in direct sunlight. I know that happens in the desert areas like Vegas, Phoenix etc. but it's much hotter there and the low humidity affects it too.

Do you learn more on kites with depower bridles? To answer the question short and simple NO . What you do learn you learn faster and with less punishment. The other things, like agressive edging, you learn under more enjoyable conditions. BTW: I ride c-kites and started with foils. I've flown and t...

First buy a trainer kite. 2m kite should give you a bit of pull yet be small enough to handle. Once you can fly that without looking at the kite then find some lessons. It should take about a week of dedicated practice. You will be bombarded with "get lesson" posts. Please listen. Since you are in t...
