Re: Best Action Camera

I have used the contour hd for several months now. it's a really great camera and there are lots of new mounting options. I have also converted to go pro line mount to use the contour. There is a new camera on the market that looks promising. http://replayxd.com/replay-xd1080-camera/

yeah, but you could hate them all. Personally, I've never had issues with them except delayed baggage once. And I fly with them a lot.

Air Canada lifts ban on kiteboards effective immediately!

Just got an email from a friend who works for AC and put forth an effort to lift the kiteboard ban with his contacts. Here's what he received today.... "Good News!!! We will now start accepting kiteboards effective immediately. With the introduction of the 2nd bag fee we have seen some decrease in t...

Re: Cayman Islands

I was there for a while in Feb 08. Tight launch at the main area is for sure. Kiting there is kept pretty quiet and only met one person who lived and kited there. My 14m One was all I took. It was a light wind week and could have used a bigger board. All in all it's a fantastic spot in my opinion. N...

Re: Dreads and kiteboarding....

I've been riding with dreads for several years. Never had any issues other then taking a long time to dry after an evening session. That and a lot of extra sand in the bed. You do need a bigger helmet, but when it's cold i find they keep my head just a little warmer. http://www.tracstarr.com/g2/d/14...

Re: Airline Baggage Information

I used the NSI pro golf bag and pre-registered that i was talking golf clubs. Now i just need to find my way to the other side of the island to get the ne winds.... i'll update ...

Grand Cayman Info

I'm heading down to Grand Cayman mid February. I hear the local spot is Barkers beach. Just wondering if anyone here is a local who can give me some more info. Maybe what's the best way to get there from the main 7-mile strip. Anything would help. Thanks!

Re: Airline Baggage Information

Air Canada - I actually called them up directly and asked about a "wake-board", which they apparently have no issues with. So what gives? Seriously. I'm headed to the Cayman's in a few weeks and registered my sporting gear, taking my "golf" clubs. I figure if i take the board apart and just put it i...

yeah, the relaunch can be tricky, especially if the winds are more on the low end. I do find you have to pull in one side quite a lot, and if you're not careful you can flip the kite so that it's pointing upwind, making it almost impossible to launch. Actually, this has happened to me 3 times in 3 d...
