Wood core boards are far more resilient to impact restistance, far stronger and heavier.... Also difference core materials have different flex patterns. I second the Brokite recommendations. Have been riding them for 8 years and they just keep getting lighter and stronger. Jerry will build you a custom board and the price is comparable with factory boards.

Interesting, I thought there would be many more responses from small board builders and/or their riders. Jellyfish and Saul Customs, thanks for responding. It was interesting reading about your boards.

For many years I have been riding a Brokite board that was hand made to my specs by a company in Texas.
