Re: Downwinder in Pompano Beach, FL. Where to launch?

So one unlucky kid, who who knows what he was into, got some itching worm and we should stop kiting in that gorgeous spot? Seems kind of alarmist to me. Better for us. We'll get less tourists. Hopefully they'll go to Colorado. :jump: As far as I know that's one of the few spots left not controlled ...

I'll just leave this here.... https://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/to-your-health/wp/2018/07/26/hookworms-burrowed-into-a-teenagers-skin-during-a-trip-to-florida-you-cant-unsee-these-images/ "The Health Department in Pompano Beach said “Everyone knows to wear shoes on the beach because you ca...

Re: Which is the best board you ever own !?

Did Crazy Fly discontinue the Elite? Don't see it on their website any longer. Wouldn't surprise me, I got mine over winter on a nice discount and some of the sizes were sold out. If they did I'd probably get a north textreme board if I needed a replacement, but i'm a sucker for expensive carbon fi...

Re: Which is the best board you ever own !?

Have not been on many boards but finally got to use my crazy fly elite 138 last week and it's way better than my old anti-g board. 85kg.

Re: Peter Lynn introduce the Aero V2

Thanks Kitexpert, I'm currently weighing up my options on a softkite for jumping with TT. I've been kiteboarding 18yrs and buggied before that. Options so far are Sonic FR 15m, Sonic2 15m, Aero2 decisions decisions?? Depends on your Budget... cheep -> SonicFR middle -> Sonic2 3000+ -> Aero2 Thanks ...

Re: Ozone and Flysurfer fanboys, tell me why...

The Sonic FR 18m was my favorite kite, until I got a Peter Lynn Aero 20m ultralight. That kite stays in the air in no wind and has insane power and speed. Looking forward to the Aero v2 21m ultralight. I haven't flown any flysurfers newer than the FR or speed5 but the Aero v1 was better in every ca...

Someone got some drone footage last month on a day when we didn't have much wind, was flying the charger v3:

Re: Peter Lynn Charger 3

I have a few of them, it's the kite I fly when the conditions are gusty and nuking. I'll take my 22m out when I'd be too overpowered on a 14m aero during gusts. They handle gusts exceptionally well (don't have to worry about getting lofted as much), and drift downwind better than your race kites lik...

Re: Hyperlink size recommedation

UL material is all very well and I will probably go for this option if I upgrade to the V3 Chrono. However I'm not sure there is any claim about a better low end with the UL material - once the kite is flying it is going to have no more power than the standard version. The difference is that is wil...
