Re: Peter Lynn Charger 3

Someone got some drone footage last month on a day when we didn't have much wind, was flying the charger v3:

Re: Peter Lynn Charger 3

I have a few of them, it's the kite I fly when the conditions are gusty and nuking. I'll take my 22m out when I'd be too overpowered on a 14m aero during gusts. They handle gusts exceptionally well (don't have to worry about getting lofted as much), and drift downwind better than your race kites lik...

Re: Hyperlink size recommedation

UL material is all very well and I will probably go for this option if I upgrade to the V3 Chrono. However I'm not sure there is any claim about a better low end with the UL material - once the kite is flying it is going to have no more power than the standard version. The difference is that is wil...

How often do you get chased by dogs?

Riding on a popular frozen lake, everyone loves to walk their dogs off leash, and everyone thinks their dog is perfectly trained, until it ignores them and darts off at a kiter a quarter mile away. I usually get chased by barking dogs at least once a week. Most of the time they are playful but the o...

Re: proper etiquette

What's the etiquette when you're at a crowded beach, it's a light wind day, and the launch area is littered with pumped up LEIs that wouldn't fly anyway with the current wind, and you just want enough space to launch your 18 to 21m foil for a light wind session?

Re: Video of Ram Air Inversion Disaster

For lightwind days I still don't get why anyone would spend all that time and effort pumping up a huge LEI when you can throw a race foil in the air and have more power, more speed, and more hangtime.

Re: Why do my front lines twist?

If you always loop the kite the same way the front line used for the safety will get twisted, even when you remove the twists from the bar.

Re: FS speed 5 vs Sonic V1

Speaking of selling Sonic FRs if someone had an 11, 15, 18m they were going to sell, do you think they would be better off waiting till spring to sell it? Seems like there are not many people that snowkite so might be better off waiting to list and sell.
