Re: 5G EpicKites

Merry Xmas Dimitri and crew and to Toby and the rest of the kiteforum clan.

Got some days off over Xmas and would like to give my R13 a run - monsoon rains here so unlikely.

Stay safe and all the best for 2016.

Re: 5G EpicKites

Nice work with the 5G website and the SUPS. Been out six times since purchasing the Renegade 13m (more than the previous 6 yrs combined) having a great time. Would have been great to have a kite like that when first starting out - would have progressed so much faster. lol at the jokes in the videos.

Re: EpicKites 4G

Not only that Mr. sburlo , the Renegade 13 ltd relaunches very fast especially in a place where you have lots of sea water crocodiles. Have had a couple of sessions now with the Renegade 13. I have a lot of confidence in the kite - nice and stable and easy relaunch. :thumb: Was out on the water and...

Nice Father & Son Vid.

"My turn, my turn .. hey"

Feedback on Renegade 13m

Awesome, easy relaunch - (kite needs to be pumped up properly)
Love the QR - easy as - easy to reset.
Kite nice and stable for me - improving my game now. Just need more sessions.

Re: EpicKites 4G

Had my first session on the Renegade 13m 4G. Had good fun in marginal winds - 10-11knts. Dropped the kite though, could not relaunch - lack of practice or more likely lack of wind. Yes, by the time i got back to shore there was not enough wind to launch as normal. Impressed with the package, I reall...

Re: Kitesurfer versus crocodile Australia

Would have been at the spot with croc attack if i was not working and did not go crabbing in the arvo. Went out on Sunday at Lee Point - Buff Creek, greater chance of crocs there due to closer proximity to Shoal bay. Edit: probably exact spot - only 24 hours later. Casuarina coastal reserve might in...

Re: EpicKites 4G

So I decided to come up with a Limited Greek Edition of SCREAMERS. Two of my three neighbours are Greek, one of my favourite foods is yiros/souvlaki - if I had bigger kahunas I would have ordered a Greek 14m screamer - good looking kite. That kite was dancing in that first video. :thumb: Have order...

Re: EpicKites 4G

Dudes, i need some help on choosing between 5G 11m or 13m renegade. My first instinct was to buy a 13m but from what I have read above the 11m seems to be the sweet spot. I am 75kg and ride a 128cm or 131cm TT i think. I would like to ride and keep upwind in wind ranging from 10 - 25 knots. I don't ...

Re: EpicKites 4G

I flew these two last week mostly. One of the deal breakers I had when purchasing our last quiver was exactly this, as my wife was still very new at kiting I needed a kite that she could crash over and over again and not waste time trying to relaunch (her switchblade was a time waster) and I wanted...

Re: EpicKites 4G

I am thinking of buying either the 13 or 11 Renegade 5G. Never flown one. Are they easy to self launch and self land? I plan to kite mid week so probably not many kites around to help. Are they easy to relaunch? The less I am submerged in water the better as there are crocs around. (Think of gators ...
