i want to make my own kiteboarding kite but can't find any info online. can anyone help me?

I want my surfboard to kite on and surf on. I'm 6'2" & 210 lbs how big should I make my surfboard. Is there such thing as too big?

So the wider the board the slower the turn but faster planing? Retro fish is an odd looking surfboard, anyone kited on a fish style? It would be nice if I could surf the same board on no wind days.

I just got a friend to pick up 5 more tubes of aquaseal to bring down to Mexico. The tear is not on the strut itself but on the kite right down the edge of the seam that holds the strut on.
