Re: Herniated disc

I was wondering if anyone out there has had or are dealing with a lumbar disc herniation? Would using a seat harness help? Thanks in advance Dan Hey mate. I've got a prolapsed disc at L4/5, as well as annular bulges in the ones above and below that level. I had a partial laminectomy back in 1992 an...

Kitesurfing was the final nail in the coffin of my marriage. I think the clincher was when I promised, under pain of death, to spend the whole of xmas day at the inlaws' place. I think I lasted about 2hrs before it got windy and I bailed to go kiting 8) I was single before new year's  Now that ...

I'm aiming for a 2 kite quiver this season, but I'm going to be on Peter Lynn V2's, so if you're not interested in trying a 'doona', disregard the rest of this post. I'll be on a 10 and a 13 Venom2. I've got a 126 Cardboard® as my normal board, so I'll be looking at one of their bigger board...

Probably because people tend to significantly underestimate the power of mother nature (the wind in this case). The "it's only a kite" mentality. It's the same reason our lifeguards are kept busy.

I do worry about this sort of thing. Not so much about the dumbass that might turn up and kill himself, but about the kiting ban that may result from it. I've helped a number of noobs now, who were in the process of setting up but had no real idea of what they were doing. Almost all welcomed the hel...

What goes through my mind during a wipeout?

Usually the vivid recollection of how much the last wipeout hurt

What happens after the wipeout is determined by how good it was. Most of the time it's "Phew!". A couple of kiteloop wipeouts have left me semi-stunned and seeing stars

Re: RE: Helix '08 as a beginners kite

Hi Guys, <snipperooni> I'd appreciate the help... :) Cheers, Chris Hey mate. If you can't get any joy down there and you don't mind going for a little bit of a drive, give me a yell and head up here to Elliott Heads. I'd be more than happy to give you a hand, plus you'll get to kite at one of the b...

In that case, I think the nagging about kiting is going to be the least of your worries very shortly
