I usually find that very hot water applied before the vinegar helps it to soak in, but as someone else pointed out even when you free the zip there is often terminal damage to the zip or the teeth. The trick is never to lave them too long - even a poor zip often used will stay free.

Gotta come in on this _ I sort of know Kev on line and have even bought some stuff off him. When I was watching that I figured it was a good few years ago, because I know him as a competent kiter and just seeing the kit. Two things to point out - to the guy who was thankfull that the kite was so wel...

2: But what I really want to build is a safety device for LANDING. I have read through three pages of tosh with this very fact on my mind. Where I sail I have always been on my own (getting a bit crowded these days mind) From the days of solo launching a stack of flexifoils, through buggy kites and...

Well, I'm off back to Colona at Magawish again next week. I've not been to any other spot in Egypt, but as far as I can see this has got everything you need: I have a room within a couple of minutes walk of kite beach, at the beach there is everything you need - shop, bar, food, toilets, help and on...

Taken from: http://www.mtsu.edu/~psyskip/physics.htm Not sure too much about this, I know tanks are rated to about 3000 psi (200 bar), but the safety factor should be pretty huge on the tank although I didn't know about this blow out disc. Charles' Law: As temperature increases, pressure increases. ...

Magawish just sent me an email offering 185 Euro for one week half board including airport transfers (last year mine was a merc' boardbag went in the boot sideways!) valid until the end of May. I'd guess if you were on your own there might be a single supplement on the room. I know Hurghada and Maga...

Well, how the world turns. Kitesurfers far from being the free spirits of the surf culture used to living out of camper vans and shitting in buckets are snobs of the windsurfing culture with bmw's and soft toilet paper. I stay in 4 & 5 star hotels for work all of the time, but when I'm on my kitesur...

A question for you Steph. Maybe I am hereing you wrong. You work for a watersports company that sells lots of kitesurfing gear and you managed to get someone a really good deal on equipment. How do you sell the gear if you know nothing about the sport? If customers asked you these same questions th...
