Re: Getting at the Inserts after glassing

Wow Thanks Guys! This is great info. I am going to see if I can pick up a counter sink bit tonight. I'm going to do the glass on the weekend. I do use standard inserts I think the hole is about a 1/4inch on the insert. Should I get a bit the same size as the hole? So I don't drill to deep. I did wax...

Re: Getting at the Inserts after glassing

Thanks Guys,

Those are all great ideas! I think I will try using the razor blade approch as it seems pretty simple
I do have a template so I might just use that to double check that I'm in the ball park of where I put the inserts.

Thanks again.

Getting at the Inserts after glassing

Hi,
After you epoxy the inserts into the foam of your board. How do you access them after you lay up your layers of glass? Do you need to drill through the glass? or is there a better way that has less risk of ruining the threads of the inserts.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Tips and Tricks to Repair Kites - add your experience!

Hi, I had a 2.5 inch hole blown out on the tip of my leading edge bladder and I used duct tape and the bladder still holds air. It's not pretty but it did the job. I also used small siphon clamps that I got from a do it yourself wine shop. They are the same ones Liquid Force use on there one pump sy...

Re: Glue

I use Polyurethane glue - From Elmer's Ultimate Glue.

It works well and is waterproof. it also foams up to fill gaps. And it's cheap.

I hear you man. I was rather disappointed.. I'm a huge LF fan, I ride there wake / kite boards, kites, harness. you name it. I see your bridals. Mine looked just like it.. At full power they still sagged. The store I bough the kite from had LF send me some new bridals and they were the same length a...

I actually got an email from LF and Julien F. They confirmed the bridals are the right length. I still fly my 16m with the rear bridal 'I" set to the same length as the bridal labeled "G" It seems to fly well at that length ( turns fast, tons of pull and depower). I also bought a 9m Assault2 recentl...

I emailed them (or you possibly) tonight and i'm waiting for a reply. The bridal labelled (Assault2 16 I) is 80 inches long. I also wondered about the one labeled Assault2 16 H) going through the pully) it's 140 inches long. I'd really like if someone could tell me the measurments of their Assault2 ...

07 Liquid Force Assault 2 Rear Bridal Length?

Just wondering if anyone knows about the 07' LF Assualt 2 rear bridal being to long on their 16m kite. I bought one that is all blue ( 08 colour? I thought they were only white or Blk.) When it flies the rear bridal draps and sags in the air. The kite stalls all the time. I talked to someone else wh...

I have a drysuit that was leaking at the seams. I used Tear Aid patches Type A. Worked like a charm.
Give it a shot.
