Re: True C kites 14 meters

The rpm has been around forever, the Dash is in it's 1st or 2nd iteration. I'd stick to the rpm but if you have a 12m torch I would go up to a 15m or 17m lightwind kite with some freestyle capabilities such as the turbine. The 14m rpm won't help all that much compared to a 12 torch. Our locals swea...

Re: Fixing a twintip?

Short answer - get some good quality epoxy from a DIY shop (it comes in two parts and you squeeze them together, sometimes they are in two syringes) Get some G clamps or similar. Wash board in warm clean water, dry completely (hair dryer) Mix epoxy, put epoxy in ding. Wrap ding in cling film (so g c...

Re: Rebel with low V bar?

You need a tensioned 5th line for the Rebel to fly correctly. You can use a 5 line bar or the North bars with the high Y. In my experience the Y split that you get from North makes them fly the best, but as long as your 5th line is tensioned it will fly ok. Now you can use a low V bar, as long as i...

Rebel with low V bar?

Can you fly a rebel 2015 with a low V bar? Or do I need to buy yet another bar and lines?

Re: How To Self-Land a Kite in High Winds

That video is bullshit and unsafe and not recommended for high wind. Any learners watching this. This is a dangerous method to land. Don't copy it. I suspect that this kiter has only ever kited in moderate winds and hasn't had to land it crazy conditions before. A lot of what he does is just plane ...

Re: At last ... got to ride the Rebel (2018) and XR5 back to back

... how does a tow up work, I mean Nick’s latest escapade. I read it had a 500m tow line, but how does it work. Can’t explain it to myself. Since you evidently don't understand how wings develop lift you should sell all your kite gear and instead do something that you do understand. :-) Ha! Serious...

Re: Megaloop Boardoff

I think that changed. Luckily. Nick J won and I don't remember seeing him doing a handlepass. KOTA gets better every year! I wonder when guys like Reno Romeu go back to straps...he used to do nice boardoffs...I hope guys like him realize soon that just megaloops and rotations with grabs only will n...

Re: Any RRD Obsession 2015 reviews?

Has anyone tested 16&17 years obsessions? 15 was real step back with its high bar pressure and clumpsy turning speed. Got it any better later in 2016? Is there big difference in 13&14 years? Till now 13 year is my favourite. hey dzincha, i have the mk9. IMO in this model theres not a lot of bar pre...
