Could someone please invent a better way to self land a kite in high wind.

I hate self landing in high wind. 5th line is the best method I've used so far. But even this will leave the kite floating upside down in the air while I try to climb up the fifth line. Line cutting into my soft, girly hands. 4 line flag out, the kite never stays on the floor, it flaps about in the ...

Re: The best boosting kites. Your real world testing :)

1. 10m Epic Screamer not sure of the year, 2012 i think
2. Cabrinah Tronic
3. 11.5m
4. 10m
5. 15 years
6. Like the kite. Its really hard to boost over 10m on it. It starts ripping you off the edge... not enough depower (compared to a vegas)

The best boosting kites. Your real world testing :)

Lets see how all the different kites are boosting. Post your results here, big or little jumps, let's get an idea of how the kites work in the real world used by real people (not these pro-kiter freaks.) I'm interested in older kites as well, are there any old gems out there? The rules: 1. Kite deta...

Re: Xenon make kites now

Seems like any outfit can outsource the design process nowadays (Switch), have a kite loft build them with slick graphics and have their own kites. One high aspect kite, a wave kite and an all-rounder. I bet there are kite designers who have tons of good designs that don't fit into some kite compan...

BTW, if you had not noticed back then that video was a 1st April joke by Greg.
I remember this being posted as a joke, but I didn't really understand the joke. He made it, it wasn't very good.... haha?

Re: DIY onestrut kite

You should get the software to output the most simple sewing pattern and/or instructions. There must be an easier way to sew a kite together. Especially trying to get down to 1mm tolerances for the LE tube. It feels that sewing different bits of cloth together isn't as efficient as doing some sort o...

Yep,

I thought so. There is a catch tho, is the sw printing the markers on LE? I can't imagine how would one assemble it with no markers...
A seamstress making a gentleman's suit would use chalk. One assumes they do something similar on kites.

Re: More Advanced Kites

I never unhook, I only do two tricks - big jumps and falling off. I'm an old man. I ride C kites, vegas, torch, chaos and screamer. They are fun, I really enjoy them. I love how they turn, how they drive, how they have a really nice consistent pull. It's hard to describe how they feel so different, ...
