Have the same problem with my north 2007 jaime pro. Great board, poor pads and straps. Upgraded with mystic straps and dakine pads, much better.

Maybe the companies should consider selling "board only" so people can choose their own combination. Saves a few bucks and complaints.

Love the board, hate the footpads and straps. With shoes they are too small, without they don't fit well. They slip of my front food every other backflip, this is dangerous. Yes, you can adjust it by knocking out the pin but that is not what I want to do with a $$$ board. North, if you don't improve...

I have used the 9 and 12. Excellent kites, but I traded them for boxer sle´s which don´t fly as good (but still great and jumps are as high) in my humble opinion but which are way more stable. I never had the boxer falling out of the sky but this happened several times with the HTÃâ...

If you are experienced, great kite with lots of power and very good lift. I found it difficult to deal with in the beginning because it tended to fall out of the sky, you have to keep tension on the steering lines and not keep it above your head. I also broke two bridles within 10 sessions, but that...

80 kg. was out today by the way and used the 143 for the first time in flat water. Then it is a different board, as I mentioned it feels big in choppy water, not at all in flat water. Had a great time, wind was 18 knots and i was out with a RRD hypertype 9 and a 666 132x40, wind dropped to 13 (avera...

No problems holding its edge, just keep weight on your back leg. I have no experience on other light wind boards, so can't give you any comparisons.. I am amazed however by the low end, am cruising at 10 knots with a RRD hypertype 12.
