Re: Skimboard - what to buy??

If you can hang out for the 010 gear, one of the main companies will have a legitimate kite skim. :naughty: Nobile is good, very easy to use etc. But doesnt have a clean release off the tail, and the tail is too wide for the surf, very hard to turn. When the tail is skinnier, pin, like on a normal s...

Re: why not more kite skimboarders?

I have been riding the Nobile skim for the last year and use it as my main board for downwinders. Although once the waves get some power I jump straight back on the surfboard, as the nobile board doesn't turn well on the face of the wave. @Peter Frank: Skim is way better than surfboard when it is sm...

Re: I joined the generator death cult the other day

Hey guys, Thought it was probably time to bump this thread a bit. In regards to the 5th line idea, when i got my generators they already had the 5th line on the bar, so i just left everything the way it was but ripped of the chicken loop and put a nice fat harness loop on with the rooster ring. So n...

Re: Which kite brands will bring back a C kite for 2009-2010

Hey guys,

Havn't read the last few pages, seems like a lot of bitching going on.

But I'm pretty sure the Airush Generator will stay pure C, designed for 4 lines, square wingtips, with battens in the tips, nice and crispy with smooth power delivery and will do a "man" loop.

Re: Airush boards 09

Hey guys, "buzz2":Compared to converse and other purist wave board you will find the choptop will get going earlier(slightly less rocker I believe along with wider tail etc.), so yes it is quite a fun lightwind board, awesome for small unstrapped airs and spins etc. in lighter winds. Thanks Matt PS ...

Re: 2009 Airush Choptop ??

Hey mate, You're pretty much on the money, easily doubles as a light wind fun board and wave board for average conditions. Skim boards are awesome, and obviously the choptop doesn't offer as much bottom end(but it is very close) but it's an alternative to a skimboard and a lot easier to ride, especi...

Re: 2009 Airush Choptop ??

Hey mate, I think they should be in most shops by now. I rode last years one throughout summer as my main board, was wicked, ended up rideing it as a twin fin towards to end for something a bit different. Anyway the new green one seem heaps easier to control at speed through the chop(quad fins comei...

Re: My experiences Wave riding with different boards and kites

Hey guys, I found the last few pages pretty interesting, just thought I would add a few points. Recently got my 09 Generator 7.5, had it out the other day when it was super light for a downwinder. As we were leaving everyone was heading in and no one was going upwind, yet we could hold our ground on...

Re: 2009 Airush Converse?

SWK, thanks for the reply, I'm about 180 lbs. might just try and chase up a demo, sounds like the 6'0 could be the one though.

Bit off topic but has anyone had a chance to fly the 09 Generators(5.5, 7.5, 9.5)?

Thanks
Matt

Re: 2009 Airush Converse?

Has the 6'4" changed much? Do you know much about the construction?

Any observations or comments in regards to weight ranges on the the 6'0" and 6'4", just contemplateing what size to look at, 6'4" sounds interesting but not sure if it will feel too big?

Thanks
Matt
