In enough wind easy - just a little patience while it drifts to the window, otherwise pull about a meter of 5th line to get it almost on its back / always faster this way. It requires some work to get it into the water in the first place.

Re: Shinn w18 speedball

What do you need to know - what is your weight and intended use? For lightweight light wind, I can only confirm what I wrote earlier. And it does grow on you - generally fun to be on the board, requires changed stance to relax due to width. It is not competitive with large square lightwind boards bu...

Re: New quiver, evos or Vegas?

It's been a long time since I was on a 2011 or 2012 Vegas 12m and it didn't feel that powerful, but friend who has a 2012 12m Vegas recently tried my 2013 10m said the 10m pulls about the same as his 12m. I guess he was about 85kg as well and had the 10m in perhaps 15knots or less well powered. So t...

Re: New quiver, evos or Vegas?

As it is a 2kite quiver i'm a bit worried a out the Vegas, i weight 75-80kg and the regular winds here are from 12-35knots (but it's most common 12-25) Could be 11-8m a good quiver? I have 10-8-6 2013 Vegas at 69kg. I enjoy both the 8 and 10 equally, but sometimes feel an 11m would be better as the...

Re: North Rebel 5th line - any issues?

That's strange as North say the Dice has a slack 5th line?? As Dan pointed out, the location of the Y seems to make a difference. And to others: just because a 5 line bar is normally loaded, it will not be on a kite where the 4 other connections points are shorter relative to 5th attachment point, ...

Re: Terrible News from Perth

I see it all the time, wind gusts crank in and crew head for the beach to get their kite down. No! Stay in the water, hold your board in front of you at 90 degrees to the kite and get your kite low as possible and as close to the edge of the window and ride it out. If it is still too much, ditch th...
