Re: Cabrinha announces separation with Lorenzo and Leo Casati

The rider who has more social views, or the balls-to-the-wall riders with insane skills but with less social followers/views per month. Funny thing is that both might not really work. Best at a time had contracts with huge names that had both insane skills and a huge following: Lenten, Zoon and Whi...

Re: Cape Town Basic Rules

Yes, colder wind is more powerful. 20 knots in Germany are stronger than in Brazil with its warm air. Never been to Capetown, so don’t know how much stronger it would be there, but there are many on the forum who experienced it, so they know for sure. At 35 degrees Air density is around 1.15 kg/m3,...

Re: Milo The Action Communicator

Especially let us know how it holds up in salt water with the USB charging port and the speaker / microphone. With all the Woo failures we know that it is an engineering challenge for sure. The problem with USB charging port is very easily fixable with wireless charging. I can't really find a reaso...

Re: Milo The Action Communicator

I didn't think this would ever come out. I wonder how it will work and if it will be available to buy without waiting 2 years.

What do you mean by this? If you mean a heliloop to soften the landing, then you might not need a dice or GTS.

Re: Did we ever see an unhooked Megaloop?

I think a lot depends on what a definition of a megaloop really is. I have heard different definitions like: - "a kite below or at the level of the rider" - "a kiteloop at above 10m" - a combination of those two above We'd need to define what an unhooked kiteloop is. I don't have a good definition, ...

Re: Dilemma, in 14m, Duotone Rebel SLS 14 or Evo SLS 14

A 14m kite will mainly be used in light wind. In this area the EVO will perform better than the Rebel just by having 3 struts instead of 5. I would even recommend to check the Juice (problem is there is no Juice SLS and only the D-Lab which is even more expensive). And I don't think that is such a ...

Re: Dice vs Dice SLS

Well, if anything, SLS Pentatex material should be stronger than normal dacron? As marketing promise yes but I trust in more solid fabric ) May be I’m wrong let’s see how durable are SLS after couple hundreds hours on the water. I guess it is also important to note that pentatx is used on tubes. Fr...

Re: How to Jump bigger - Part I

So Anton's learning to fly video suggested using a leg push when setting up for the jump. Its a slightly different timing (he said to do a leg push just before sending the kite as opposed to the board pop just after sending the kite) but I wonder if the reasoning is the same. If you ride with bent ...

Re: How to Jump bigger - Part I

There's a longer explanation here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TErsQSQD8Q. I am not quite convinced by either of those though. What Evan says in the video seems true to me, that by doing the hop you would lose some line tension and get the kite deeper to the wind window. That to me seems though ...
