Re: Ocean Rodeo 2010 Equipment now 30% off

WOW, amazing deal. All your dealers must be really pissed off now that you are selling gear at their wholesale directly even 2 maybe 3 months before the 2011 gear will be released. This must be the worst thing i have seen a kite company do since the Eclipse\Real ordeal. ...nothing like slagging som...

Re: Which Ocean Rodeo Rise to buy?

yep, definitely get the most frequent kite right first. I went from 8-12-16 C kites (50% on 12) to a 10 and 14. Sure I get a great wind range and overlap but always wish I had a 12. I tend to go out on the 10 as soon as I can, even with a bigger board, and often end up with less power than I'd like....

Re: Mako Wide 140 vs Litewave Vision?

Dude, I have both the 150 and 140 Mako and I posted a review here: http://oceanrodeo.com/forums/viewthread/1704/ The 150 does not feel like a big board - I am only 70 kg and it is a great ride. It feels more assured than the 140 i.e . locked in, the 140 feels more like a regular twintip. On flat wat...

Re: 2009 Ocean Rodeo Mako 140 Wide!

thanks Evan, I ride a 10 and 14 Rhino 07. Not lit up very often - usually get a range of conditions from light winds through to 25kts (a few nuclear days thrown in but not very often) and I like to get on the 10 as much as I can as I can throw it around more. So 10m from 16kts ish. Mostly moderately...

Re: 2009 Ocean Rodeo Mako 140 Wide!

HI Evan, Very interested in your thoughts on whether to go Mako 150 or 140 wide. I am low 70kg's and into freeride - choppy water, some waves, big jumps, basic front and back loops, nothing flash, no powered kiteloops, just general carving around the ocean having fun. It is of course an impossible q...

Re: Rhino '07..5th line a must?From a Cab fan..

there is no 4 line option on the Rhino 07 - it is designed specifically for 5 lines. I went from 4 to 5 lines and it was not a problem for me. Also, there is no alternative safety other than the 5th, unless you make it yourself (e.g. outside line re-ride).

...depends on your board. I have used the 10 from 14/15kts. I was on flat water, on a 132 twintip, 70kg, going upwind and doing some jumps (nowhere near my biggest but big enough to be fun. In 17/18 kts the kite comes alive for me, much bigger jumps. I GUESS you could go from 13 kts with a surfboard...

...there is no clip-off on the North two pump to worry about... On the Rhino though, once the leading edge is up to pressure it effectively shuts off the tube that connects each strut, so if a strut blows when you are kitesurfing the others will not go down - I found this out when I opened the valve...

Ferosimo, please please tell us how's the turning speed of your new babies and how's the low end power of 14 and the range of 10? Really appreciate your answers! OMG - I rode 14 last weekend at 70kg with SX132x39 board. Fantastic low end. Wind was 10-12 knots and I was planing, going upwind and jum...
