Hi, I'm heading down to Peru for most of November and part of December. I'm planning on riding mostly around the Mancora area. I'm 230 lbs and am an intermediate-advanced waverider. I'd buy you a beer anytime. I always have thought that if I had to go to the military, I'd try to be a PJ. Now, making the cut is an entirely different issue :)

Look, the Nitro is an ok kite but the recon II bar is deadly--especially for a beginner.

I'm sorry about this but Cabrinha should have recalled that bar years ago...

I think the easiest way to figure out the force from the kite would be to rig a spring scale between the chicken loop and your harness.
