Re: New foil from Ozone

Looking at your picture I didn’t take into consideration that you are foilboarding as well as riding strapless which adds more complexities and at the same time learning to master foil kites. You certainly have a lot to think about. With reference to the pulley binding, was that the result of a sei...

Re: New foil from Ozone

@Pitballdoug A credit to you for giving it a go and for persevering, having always used LEI’s. Out of interest at what point did you drop the HL? With respect to the turning speed of the 12m HL as compared with your LEI's it’s probably just a question of adapting to it. When I’ve been using my smal...

Re: New foil from Ozone

Pitbulldoug , try a longer bar like 60 cm for your 12 meters , it would help to gain speed . Also I don't know what is your lines length but you could try shorter lines you would get more speed of your kite . Whatever happens , keep thinking kite up first . Foils kite stay up in the air quite easy ...

Re: New foil from Ozone

Well I have approx 4-5 sessions on my 12m HL and trying to get to know and like foil kites, but after almost 15 yrs kiting on LEI its a hard transition as if it were not for my 2yrs + of hydrofoiling i certainly would have no interest in a foil kite.I really like the lowend of the HL as you can foil ...

Re: 5m kite recommendation

My small foil kite is the new 6m Naish boxer, love it for foiling, the new canopy material really makes a 1 strut super stable canopy, any small kites going to have quick turning, but boxer has a couple of steering setting, have not tried the 5m boxer but would imagine very similar to my 6m,had a 5.5m cl...

Re: Liftfoils materials and durability

Not sure exactly what the mast is made of but personally been riding mine for many hours hard freeriding in swell and small waves and I'm a lg rider 225b and put a lot of stress on any foil and currently riding 36' and 32" mast with 150 wing and find it very solid/stiff compared to other foils I've ...

Re: Moses 550 wing and 325 Stabilizer review

It really depends on your weight and what your riding discipline is really the 550 is for lighter riders and the 548 for heavier riders IMO I'm 225 and prefer the 548 for free ride/ocean waves with my weight.550 a bit faster too,but after a few years foiling I don't mind slowing down a bit enjoying...
