Re: Lower back injury/ herniated disc advice

I had spinal damage in my neck 3 years ago that almost left me in a wheelchair. (From kiting) I DID have to resort to surgury, yet am still left with numb fingertips, skin that senses hot as cold and vise versa, and fucked up legs. (My legs work better now, but not well.) Oddly enough accupuncture r...

Re: With 1 Death already, Design for a safty device is neede

Again, not to flame people trying to find a solution, (keep thinkin!!!) but a shackle alone (cutting off CL) is not a safe thing to do. Fall on your face in the sand and its jammed. (Or random debris on the water, or a line wrapped around it, or... ??? .... and don't even think about snow kiting wit...

Re: Let's pray for Japan!

Or sez prayer has been proven to have the opposite effect than was intended? Geezus.... Im sure I can't enlighten your world, and shouldn't even try. My responses to bot...

Re: Kamakuza.... darn whats his nickname?

I cant let this go... I read it the first day and almost puked. And since kami won't let it go neither will I. People are so cold and thoughtless its unbelievable to me. Kami, I think when nuclear reactors are exploding and whole town's are being washed away, it may not be appropriate imo to make li...

Re: CdA Airport Kiter(s)

Be aware that this spot is private land. I have personally gotten permission from the landowners to use it. Unless you have permission to kite there, it is no different than someone showing up on your land and using it without asking. All the potential liabilities are a legitimate concern for a land...

I rarely post.. but geezus... Normally I respect your posts, Rick, this one is not one of them though. Sometimes it doesn't matter your intentions, the outcomes have other implications. How to set up a wind sensor in remote areas?

I'm curious if anyone has info/suggestions on how to set up a personal weather station for remote areas. As I do my research, there are so many products out there, I have to say I'm overwhelmed with all the info and tech. What we need here are a few wind sensors placed around the lakes in about 3 pl...
