Re: Best Light Wind Inflatable 2011

A couple of years ago I went out in some really light 8-11knot stuff with a buddy. We both weighed about 195 lbs and had similar boards. I was on the "old school" 2006 Rhino 20 and he flew a Slingshot T2 14. I could not believe it, but he blew me away. The Rhino 20 would fall from the sky in the lul...

Re: 2008 Rev vs 2008 Thruster

The Rev relaunches more easily. The Thruster is the more exciting big air kite. The Thruster has better top end.

Re: skywalker light wind

The Skywalker is a much nicer feeling board. The Exile feels heavy and stiff by comparison. What everyone says above about the Skywalker is true-- it is a great medium to light wind board.

Rev vs. Thruster?

Any clear winner in the showdown or are the two kites pretty similar? I am particularly interested in the mid sizes-- 9-14m. Build quality appears to be similar. Both are fast. How about jumping performance? Wind range?

T2 17 Impressions?

It is hard to find any information on this kite. I like the T2's. The 14 has been a great light air kite, but I would like a bit more horsepower for light summer breezes. I weigh about 200lbs. Thanks!

Re: First Kite (?) Eclipse Chameleon 10m 2007

The Chameleon is a lemon of a kite. Stay away from it. It inverts like crazy and does not handy gusty wind well at all. I found a "deal" on one, tried it once, cursed the thing and sold it. The same thing happened to another local rider. That kite should have never been sold with such poor flight ch...

Slingshot's arrogance and failure to attend to customer feedback has cost them. They could learn something from Best on this front, although there is no shortage of arrogance in the Best camp either.

The TD2 11 is a jumping machine. I have flown lots and lots of kites over the years, but nothing I have flown has as much lift and hangtime ( I think the latest Crossbows are similar). The Waroos are nice kites, but they don't compare to the TD2 if you are into going big. The TD2 will also have more...
