I use a waist harness for wave riding and the Dakine shorts harness for the rest of my riding. I like the extra flotation of the waist harness in the surf and for the harness to spin a bit doing so much heal to toe. For non surf riding I like the lower center of gravity of the seat harness for more ...

I have a 14 Thruster and would have to agree with Chingadero that it has tremendous pop and jumps huge. I am an advanced rider and love this kite. My wife is light weight and a lower intermediate rider and also really likes this kite. She has just recently learned to go up wind and is now beginning ...

Thruster 12

I bought a 12m Thruster back in the Fall and love it. The kites turning speed is amazing, jumps to the moon, easy to relaunch, performs incredibly well in unhooked and hooked in moves, large range and light bar pressure that has a great feel. I can't wait to try the 08 version. I am glad to see that...

My wife was an advance beginner when we bought our Thruster quiver earlier this year and we both love them. She had not learned to stay up wind prior to the Thrusters but within a few sessions on them she was riding up wind and Sunday she landed her first jump. I have had several beginner friends tr...

Thruster Unhooked

I have the 12m thruster and it works very well unhooked. As with any kite make sure your leading edge lines haven't stretched and it fly’s awesome unhooked. Also, as you know, keep your hands in close together; especially with this kite it's so responsive. It does not depower all th...

Your right, the Thruster 14 and 16 have changed my perspective on light wind kiting. I have them both and every one who has tried them including me has been amazed with the performance. Fast turning is an understatement, jumps to the moon and as easy to relaunch as any bow.

I have a 135 for light wind and the 131 as my everyday board and love them both, I weigh 85kg. The 131 is light, lots of pop and rockets upwind. I have had the 135 for almost 6 months and have 25+ sessions on it and there is not a scratch on it. My 131 only has about 15 sessions on it, again I have ...

Thruster

Couldn't say it better. I have a quiver of Thrusters and I am ecstatic about the kites. They are very responsive, a lot of horsepower, jump to the moon and relaunch as well as any bow. Email Dimitri at Eclipse Kites and figure out how to try one of these kites, they are special.
Cheers

Nano 9

I have the Nano 9 and love it. This kite is super high performing but a breeze to use even as a beginner. I am about 85kg and ride a 131 Skywalker and my wind range is about 22- 32 MPH. Yours I am sure would be a bit less.
