for some reason this onl happend to me on my 17m fuel the other two i have never had a problem. I just stole a hair tie from my girlfriend and wrap in around the inflate valve and have not had an issue since. It did happen in the summer when it was warm so that could be true about the valves not sea...

Does the safety work as easy in deep water also? If your talking about when you ditch the bar and the kite completely flags out, then yes it work well. I have not had a problem relaunching when i couldn't touch the bottom. I was also able to relaunch it ealsily with my board still on (with bindings...

The Jimmy Lewis Parks are made with a formica bottom. I like mine alot. Its a very durable board, thats mostly why i bought it. I think it holds up a better than not having the formica. Though it depends on how you ride your board.

I believe its just a formica bottom but im not really sure.
