Wallet not that ready at the moment :P but looking at other foams for newbie building. Not getting air yet on the water so not so concerned about foam explosions. Looking for something cheaper to try/play with to get used to working in foam. Probably talking about end of summer/autumn project as woo...

Now that's the sort of step by step I've been looking for. Like it a lot and makes it seem do-able without vac-bagging. Now just need to source Corecell.....

Rails??-ABS in particular

This ABS rail stuff - what's the deal with it and how do I get hold of some in the UK? Just about to move onto my second woody and the thing with my first board was that the rails were pretty damn thick so was looking for alternatives. Keep hearing about ABS but don't know a thing about it apart fro...

That board is a beaut! Wish I could do something like that. Best get practicing. Do you think thicker wood core or more glass/carbon is the answer to the flexibility? I've only worked in wood so far but would like to progress to composites and thin/lighten my boards.

I don't know if that shop is still in business and if they are they are not replying to any contacts. Still no better off on the bar front.

Now that looks sweet. Can't really tell if he's happy with it or not from the grin  That's not a ply board though is it?
I'll be sticking to ply for the immediate future but composites are somewhere down the line

Cheers Toast, I've contacted that seller and hope to see if they will ship to the UK. The kites are - 4m which needs a new LE Bladder 8m and 12m which are OK and fly apparently but the canopies are a bit loose and they are a bit heavy on the bar. Was going to see what I could do with them. First tim...

Sorry I didn't explain what kites they are but they are Karmack Kites (little known company from Cumbria UK) and as I said they are prototypes (you won't find them anywhere else) so there is no defined bar that they should be used with as far as I can tell. Basicly the manufacturer let me have all t...
