ad this is my own gopro IMU backback from a few years ago wth active horizon tracking in post processing...very complicated and slow to process. not much hand editing though, and I think is better than the commercial offerings :D Nice ! Btw, did you know the gopro 5, gopro 5 Session and gopro 6 all...
Shot some footage with the revl this weekend. Still definitely needs some work on the stabilization and leveling, but fairly watchable and not too complicated. This is with a bit of post stabilization with mercalli software Thanks for sharing that, looks like a fun day! The image quality is kind of...
Here is a competitor, https://steadxp.com/ that has an IMU back pack fro a gopro 4. it is about a as good as revl out of the camera for level, but more stable, but has options to add keyframes to fix the level. It is a lot of work adding the keyframes. This one took about an hour of editing: https:/...

do WLX wings feel noticeably draggier? The other day I tried a big wing foil just to see if it would improve my low end as the wind was not enough for me to get required speed for take off on my Spitfire. The foil did foil up at lower speed but was creating so much drag I could not ride anyway. Tha...
Rode the xlw wings yesterday in about 10 to 12 knots increasing to 12 to 14 with a 10 m wave kite. Had so much fun..turns short period wind swell into a hydrofoil skatepark ready to be sliced and diced... With the regular wings at 220 lbs (100kg) I needed to go pretty fast to stay flying so needed s...
this product works ok: http://steadxp.com/ Not perfect but pretty good. Still requires some manual key-frame rotation corrections every 5 t0 10 s or so depending how aggressive the kite is turning, but way better than doing all the correction manually. Here is an example: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Looks like the chord on the back wing got a bit bigger but span is roughly similar.
The front wing looks considerably bigger which hopefully will make it less sensitive to getting a bit too much pressure on the front and pushing it down
I've been riding it as my go-to foil since it came out, and due to a warm winter on Cape Cod and a trip to DR have about 15-20 sessions on it. I don't think it a super niche product as works really well for carving up swell and bay chop, not just true wave riding. Here we have ~ 1 m, 4-6 s bay chop ...
