Re: Do you need Aluula Kites?

Richard from ALUULA and Ocean Rodeo chiming in. Thanks for the great debate on ALUULA. Regarding repairs. The first generation (2019/20) of OR ALUULA air framed kites used what we call a ridge seam. This was tricky to assemble due to multiple folds and required repair centers to learn a new techniqu...

Re: Aluula Aeris: an even lighter Aluula

OR and Aluula chiming in quickly as few points missed in that interview… The AA Series Crave shown/ tested at AWSI weighed 1.6 kg. 3 strut strut high performance kite. All the Aluula in that kite with the exception of the gold trim is recyclable. The Airframe composite is very exciting and something...

Re: Team Ocean Rodeo starts the season off on top in Dakhla

During these comps, the heats are only 15 or 18 mins, so upwind speed and angles are critical to get back up to take off zone asap. The key is get priority over your competitor. The Crave is faster upwind and points higher than the Roam. The Crave also punches a bit farther to the edge of the window...

Correct, no extra mutant inserts or fin holes this year on the 165.
All new top and bottom sheets both with ramped up UV inhibitors.

Re: Introducing the World's Lightest and Strongest Kites - Aluula

10m OR Roam Aluula kite loop action in Cape Town yesterday. The light wind gain is a sure thing....but the shocker might be big air kites in this build. The Roam is a drifting surf/ foil kite... not at all meant for mega loops....however knock the weight in half and loose the stretch of Dacron it no...

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

Yes! A fleet of demo kites are just starting to make the rounds. Sales from OR will chime in soon with most recent tour dates/locations. Attached pic is the 3 strut 10 m Roam with Aluula frame. Weight is about 4 lbs / 1.8 kg.

Re: Ocean Rodeo: The Next Generation is now

I've tested all the OR kites on lines down to 10 m including the 17.5 Flite. The issue with the kites sized 12 m and up,...when diving your kite down to power up the wingtip hits the water on bigger sizes. For me the shortest I can go with lines matches the kite size,...ie 10m lines 10 m kite,.....1...
