Funny you raise issue about the bar. Long term, holding a kite over a season even for two seasons, its the bar that you often have to replace. I'm in the same boat as you, looking at ERA and North. By far, North has the better bar and just by looking at the kites you know that the North is going to...

can't say anything about the Naish... but the 08 Sonic is far from being available yet so you won't get much response from 'Sonic 08 riders'. I do know the V-Sonic prototypes have been flying for many months of testing and that there have been no issues... also, the 2007 GKs have been bombproof, esp...

Re: ERA

Of course the kite flys fast its on a 61cm bar any kite will fly fast on that big of a bar The Royal Era 12m bar has 2 different settings ... one at 61cm (for the 14m) and one at just 51cm ... which is what the 12m is set on. So in fact... the 12m Era is flying on a 51cm set-up. The 8m and the 10m ...

Interesting shape - looks kind of the opposite of both the Helix and the Batwing at the same time thats quite funny... its much more simple than that though. Theory is just to have Lower AR like the Trix in the mid section and higher AR like the Sonic through the thrust section to the tips. Mat at ...

It does look sweet... what is also interesting (if you are into this kind of hing  ) is that if you look closely at that last pap photo of the v-sonic you will see that it has the very simplistic bridle like the 2007 Trix fitted to it (ie: just a simple 2 point attachment bar the A-KPO which i...

It looks like a very exciting shape if it's real, and I want one (or three) now!
Its real... its actualy quite an old photo (from June) and I'm surprised it hasn't got leaked before now.

Hi Patrick... I just spoke to old Dave as it goes and he did mention that you'd had a quick go aon the 10m ERA and then wondered where the power had gone when you got back on the Ion2 12.5 ?? (I'm sure that's what dave said you had?) ... That does not surprise me at all... I have heard similar repor...

As above... For unhooked the Era is fine ... the guy that said it collapsed obviously had it trimmed with way too much backline. A C kite will do the same thing with too much backline when unhooked. There is no question that power delivery on the ERA 10 is exceptionaly smooth ... thats not to say it...

Most 11/12m Bow/SLE kites have a big range and can easily make a claim as the best option for a 1 kite quiver for average weight riders.... some are better than others of course. As already mentioned several times... For the widest 'useable' windrange the 11m GK Sonic is very hard to beat... 06 or 0...
