Re: Hip replacement and still kitesurfing

Tony, I stopped kitesurfing in 2010 due to problems with my hip, I wanted to make it last so I wouldn’t need an op. Got worse when I stopped kitesurfing. Had my hip replaced 3 months ago. Went to a specialist that does a lot of athletes, and he suggested a “Birmingham hip resurface”. I also research...

Re: WiND-X Monsoonz2 Ultra Flat Reviewed Yet?

Dr Lightwind, Not sure what is going on...I haven’t got any in this year as there was not much interest in them for some reason and I haven’t received much info from the factory. That along with our dollar falling through the floor would have meant I would be selling them for less than it would cost...

Re: Naish Sigma/geo tech...the way forward?

First off...I import some brands of kites, Naish is not one of them...so this is an honest opinion of a kite from a competing brand. I have done a few hours on the 09 Helix 9m and must admit it is an awesome kite and now I am a believer in the geo-tech/sigma design platform. I don’t believe Naish ...

Re: UltraFlat Bows! Where are they?

The Monsoon is nothing like the EH .. please dont compare these 2 products Firstly ...I did not compare these two products, even though it is my right to do so...I didn’t, so please read my post again. Secondly ...Before you criticise another’s post about a so called comparison, have a look at ...

Re: 09 Wind-X Monsoonz Unveiled

"i got the previous 17m to go upwind with a spleene door at 7 knots.... possibility of going lower with this?"
You can't ask for any better than that...

By the looks of the new bridle it will turn quicker and tighter..I can't wait...

Re: UltraFlat Bows! Where are they?

The Ultra Flat Bows deliver what the promise...power in low winds, up-wind ability and depower. Simple as that...if you live in a low wind area, and can't rely on outgoing tides at river mouths etc, they are the way to go. I personally have ridden the EH and Monsoonz kites and each have their streng...

Re: 09 Wind-X Monsoonz Unveiled

Awesome Ken, Thanks for those pics… Interesting that it has lost the initial bridle design, in favour of one that is similar to that on the EH kites. I personally have played around with a few bridle designs on the kites myself, and have found pulleys on the rear lines of the 10 m have made the ki...
