Re: Change AoA of front wing

If you tilt the mast you will end up changing the AoA of both wings. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing with your setup. It seems if things are working properly then you will have to change the AoA of both so that they are still the same. Is it possible that you are having to keep y...

Re: 5 ways to self land - Tutorial

When hooking to a fixed object, don't disconnect the leash and hold the flying kite just by the unhooked chicken loop. Hmmm... what could possibly go wrong? Why disconnect your 2 connection points before attaching one of them to the anchor? Even when hooking to that log, if you take the leash off, h...

Re: Drysuits circa 2018

If you haven't tried one, just so you know, while a loose fitting suit is super flexible and supple out of the water, they get squeezed against you with lots of wrinkles on any parts submerged (mostly the legs) and are nowhere near as flexible under water. They're still good suits, but be aware of t...

Re: Airrush Sector board repair question

What does it look like inside the hole? White bead type styrofoam? I'm pretty sure that's what's in the core but you might have a high density thin layer of other foam as part of the skin. The above advice is good. Just, whatever you do, don't use polyester resin like some surfboards still use, and ...

Re: A kite without an experience

I self taught myself back in 2000. My 2 cents is that a small 2 line trainer, around 1 to 2 metres is good for learning the way to fly a kite and how it pulls hard through the power zone etc. There are pretty cheap ones available. I once got one for my kids from China and it flew like crap, so check...

Yup Aquaseal. Be sure to clean with alcohol. I did some tests and that was by far most important. Roughing it up a bit is not a bad idea, but alcohol is a must.

Re: Gasping for breath after crash?! Breathing how to?

Are you talking about crashing hard and being winded and unable to breath normally due to the impact? That's what I got from the question, but not from the answers.

Re: First foilboard mod

As for the Chinook boxes, I can tell you from windsurfer building that they are the strongest boxes. Other fin boxes generally are much weaker. If you head over to a SUP building forum you will see guys telling people to ditch the flimsy other surf brands and use the Chinook boxes. If you have any f...

Re: choosing twin tip SIZE you give more importance to your weight or how much you are overpowered or underpowered?

Board is by weight. Kite boarders have this really screwed up in the thought process. The only way I would recommend a smaller board vs your weight is if you like doing board offs. In this instance your probably riding a larger kite for longer hang time and it's easier to toss the board around. A l...
