Re: WD-40 weakens kite lines?

try olive oil spray. I'm not kidding it's cheap and works well and last longer than you might expect.

Re: Hydrofoil as a carry on for airlines

I travel all the time with Spitfire standard and XLW wings in my carry on without issues. masts are too large for carry on and fuselage could look like a weapon.

Re: A caes for full face?

after many falls and some injuries I trained to instinctively cover my face and ear with my lead elbow when falling (on any board) it's not fool proof (nothing is) but if you do it right it has the added benefit of breaking the surface tension of the water and even preventing water from shooting up ...

I like the length of the spitfire mast. Its short enough that I don't have to body drag out past the break like my friends.
+1 I'd also like to have an even shorter option 70cm to get out past the reef and surf in shallow breaks without fear of destroying the foil

Re: Finally I had my first date with the Ultra 12 @ 6-10 knots

great review and info 👍unfortunately still nobody talks about or shows a video of the most important factor for light wind HF, deepwater relaunch in under 10knots.

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

I have about 5 hrs so far on the Lickity Spit (standard Spitfire rear wing + XLW front wing) first session 12 to 14 knots 2nd session 15 to 21 knots so far I see no real down side to this configuration. The foil feels much more lively maneuverable and slippery less drag) but still very stable. I sup...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

the Lickity Spit - standard rear wing XLW front wing. Takuma V100 AKA Monster Manta Ray just for comparison ;) it still blows my mind that the XLW low end and stall speed with 2 lifting wings approaches that of the Takuma without the giant surface area. photo 1. standard spitfire vs Takuma photo 2. ...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Did you try XLW wings? I did not use them in more than 16-17 knots yet so perhaps there is a limit. Simply winds were not stronger than that here. However I find XLW very useful in learning new stuff in stronger than light winds. Even after many weeks of use I'm still surprised how forgiving it is....
