Re: NC shark attacks??

My friend told me there is something like 700 shark attacks a year in Florida. We have had 7 this year in NC. It's just hype. 700? LOL! Your friend is full of shit! Florida led the country with 28 attacks in 2014…23 in '13. http://touch.sun-sentinel.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-82783865/

Any kiters down there have any encounters with sharks recently? I'm headed down on a day trip Saturday. All the attacks have been ocean side, so ...

That's like me saying I'm going to be in Perth/Fremantle looking for kiting spots near Sydney... :o

I recommend Corpus Christi or South Padre Island, Texas. Excellent kiting, nice vibe and cheap.

It's a Man Law if you're over 50, you don't have to pump your kites by hand.

Re: Litewave DV8 for Strapless Progression

I've owned and loved a DV8, sold it when the Duke was becoming a reality. Dave is also one of the nicest guys in the industry, so you're in good hands there... Exact same for me, the DV8 is indestructible and a great board to learn to gybe, etc. I have the older one (maybe 2011?) anyways, it's been...

Re: Most embarrassing thing? (helping self identify)

Well there I was…kiting Lake Garda last summer. I've been kiting since 2004, and on Lago di Garda for the two previous years. Every session for two years before this day, I only kited the "Peler" morning thermal out of the north, usually 20-30+ knots of sheer adrenaline for 3+ hours on my 8 to 10m S...

Re: Hatteras in Early May

Don't know your exact dates, but these guys have some dates available mid-May.

Check out Kitty Hawk Kites @ Waves Village, similar to Real, but a better launch on site and they may be cheaper.

You can camp for dirt cheap too.
