Re: REV2 9M issues

a quick note on this that all lines on the rev should be the same length. Tie them off on the ground before putting the kite up. You can also check this video out http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=hcOsXNcr3gI Same as every kite-BUT that's NOT how they are coming out of the factory-my rear lines were ab...

Re: REV2 9M issues

Pulled a 2009 9m out of the box yesterday, Having rode the 08 for a year now mixing it up with some strapless waveriding and a kiteloop addict. I love the 08 super fun fast and responsive. 2 knot front and second knot back. 09 first impressions SLOW. Back lines super slack. Not the same kite. Same ...

Re: REV2 9M issues

Nice, mission accomplish! Yeah-very very happy with the kite now-even in 14 or so knots today in small waves it was great-turns unreal even in light wind like that- Thanks for the assistance. Apologies if I sounded like a whinger-just couldn't get why everyone liked the kite when I was hav...

Re: REV2 9M issues

. I will try installing some pig tails and then the front lines may stretch from use and then I'll ditch the pigtails-will try today (hoping the wind is in) and let you know how it goes. Went out today in some shoulder high waves, cross onshore about 16-20 knots which picked up as I was out there. ...

Re: REV2 9M issues

On some early Revs there was problems with the 800lb lines stretching. This was because the factory was new at stretching such strong lines. They could only do some much to pre-stretch them at the time. But over time the factory has been able to clean up the issue and you should not see much if any...

Re: New 9m....

2009 REV or REV2, super smooth kite, great sle for unhooking. good winds, Francisco www.soloviento.com Except mine (REV2 that is)-flies like an underpowered dog-can't recommend one for a second-I'm a lone voice however, everyone else seems to think they're the shit. Rode the 9M 08' Cult for about 3...

Re: REV2 9M issues

Move your REV2 rear line attachment points to the inner most setting (more bar pressure). You'll feel all the power and can then decide if you want to back it off when you get used to the kite. I know people who always fly it that way and prefer the grunt. I know when I first tried the REV I had th...

Re: REV2 9M issues

Seems like a lot of people say the same thing-I flew it yesterday and really didn't like the feel of the kite-odd as everyone else seems to have a very positive view-I'll persevere.

Thanks for the feedback.

Re: REV2 9M issues

Why not try the 11m in that range. Or shorten those lines on the 9m to 20m and unhook and get it to really work for ya. :naughty: Exactly where I'm at-23m are too long IMO-but I spoke to Ben W. on this and he says the line lengths are fine and that's how he rides em' outta' the box. Found it fine o...

Re: REV2 9M issues

The Rev vs a Helix are very different kites. The Rev flies more off the front lines, and has less bar pressure. The Rev's fly forward faster, so can be ridden at higher board speeds. Coming of a Naish sigma kite it will take a bit to adjust. The Naish kites sit back in the window a lot more, and ha...
