Re: Best TTs for waves

Shinn Speedball is really fun in the waves, you can go a quite short as it is wide but makes it nice and easy to carve around.

I also found the RRD Placebos from around 5 years ago to be pretty good on the waves as they had rounded tips so were smooth to carve

Re: Liquid force Envy or Wow

If you are going to be going some unhooking then go for the Envy, it is perfect for this style of riding an since 2015 it is also much better in the waves. The bridle on the 2016 kite can also be moved around so you can take some of the power out of the turn and make it more pivotal when you go wave...

Re: 2016 LF Envy

The kite feels basically the same in each position but it really does affect how much the kite pivots. The low pivot setting is a massive improvement over the 2015 for unhooking and high pivot setting will really be useful for guys that ride the Envy in waves. It still doesn't drift like the WOW bu...

Re: 12m dice 2015

If you are looking for low wind and are quite heavy then the Dice probably isn't your best choice as it is not that powerful. Unfortunately a lot of the waves kites are similar, fast turning but not that grunty. Some kites you might like to look into and try and test out which are powerful but good ...

Re: Above bar or below bar trim? What do you prefer?

Below the bar as it is clean and simple but above the bar does come in handy when it is super windy

Re: Airush Sector

I have tried a few of the freerace boards from other brands and the Sector is definitely the better board and probably the reason why it has continued while others never really took off and have died off, it took over that section of the market. I have a Sector 60 and it is a brilliant board and gre...

Re: Ozone bar which kite ?

Your Ozone bar has a low V, will work on pretty much any kite.

There are some bars such as older North 4 line bars which have a higher V split on the front lines, if these are used on a kite which was designed for a low V, it distorts them in the air and they don't fly well.

Re: Looking for a good used kite to learn kiteloops

A kite with big wingtips and more C shaped so that it is quick turning and you can whip it around without getting yanked too much. 7-9m size, don't go bigger at it will be too slow, too small and you will have to take it out in strong winds which will be a bit scary when first learning to loop. Some...

Re: Whats the strongest wind you have been out?

75mph on 4m wind, mental session, sea blown nearly completely flat, just loads of white water, seriously gusty, only riding for about 15mins!

Re: 1st Directional Board / Light Wind Board

My first direction was the Liquid Force kitefish, perfect board for it, super stable and wide so forgives incorrect foot placement, great in low winds and small waves and super tough.
