check out the Inn on Pamlico Sound, in frisco. Soundfront Bed and breakfast. Mom will love it.

anyone lose a kite in Hatteras from car/truck? Friend found a kite in bag on the side of the road. Food Lion area. PM w/ phone and description.

April in Hatteras has been epic! SW winds 20-30 for a week. air temps in the 70's. Water temps south side and sound upper 60's. Mark- Yes it can be difficult to figure out which homes are actually Soundfront and with excellent kite access. The agents sometimes only know the homes by the descriptions in catalogs and some while advertised as "soundfront" may be more canal front or have obstacles for kiting. So check out Hatter...

Ahhh- The family vacation with something for everyone and Kiting! If you stay in Duck you will be doing quite a bit of driving to kite. Waves area has a few beginner friendly spots. Salvo day use is a good spot. Check with local shops for maps and spots. October is a great month to visit Hatteras. Temps generally are in the 70s though we can get some good SW winds which warm it up a bit or some NE which cools it a bit. October is one of those months where you can get a wide variety of conditions but last October had something like 20 rideable days. ...
