Re: Wainman Gambler - feedback please!

Hey, I have the 5'7, and am 165 lbs. I have ridden the board for a few months. The width makes it feel a size larger. So I am 5'11 and the 5'7 performs great. even though I was skeptical when getting that size. I know they say it is designed for sloppier waves, but I was riding in Maui in October an...

Re: Hadlow 2011 pro board vs Wainman blunt 2

I have not tried the hadlow, but have lots of time on the original blunt and blunt 2. Those boards are more flex and hold a rail in a tight carve. My go to twin for freeride and small waves on shore. I recently got the joke. Totally different board (built tough for sure) and much better release on p...

More kiting less typing. I liked the interview, gives you a sense of what's coming out. You can decide what you want to buy yourself at the end of the day right? Last time is checked...

Re: Wainman Hawaii 12m Boss - Safety System Help!?!?!

http://www.wainmanhawaii.nl/misc.html Or look at safety section here. You know, most people ride suicide because it is enough depower and you can relaunch. Then if the shit is hitting the fan fast in life and death you eject and bye bye kite, so what if it ends up in a tree. At least it's not you. O...

Re: Wainman Hawaii 12m Boss - Safety System Help!?!?!

Hey gus, I see the problem here, i would say the best depower set up is to take the mini fifth and hook that to the actual swivel. That will give you even depower if you let go of the bar. If the ?!-/$& hits the fan you can release the leash at the harness point. There have been some mods out there,...

Re: Wainman Hawaii Bridals Keep Breaking

First: the construction is superb. I have been on these kites since they first came out. The bridles do show wear though, you'll find that the grey line gets a bit rough when the sand is very very fine. Here in Chicago the sand is really fine and it gets everywhere, but I ride here a lot and I have ...

the white rabbit shakes off the sandy stains....otherwise I would just keep riding or crash more until it gets clean...

Re: Wainman 5M Bunny

Not a safety issue, no its not really that, it depends on if the bridle is wearing or not. The sand here in Chicago was causing my bridles to wear a bit so I put a different pigtail on the kite's pulley after replacing the bridle. The pulley is the same ronstan one. The pigtail is attached with a la...
