Don, do that makes sense. What do you use in San Fran in the summer? Brand/thicknes/constuction?...

Re: Wetsuit for Seattle summer

Thanks guys. Looks like the consensus is a 4/3, so that'd be likely what I get. I just haaaaaaate the way the thing sits on you - I feel like a stuffed sausage in it, even though I’m pretty lean. :angryfire: Thinner would have been better, but I am spoiled riding with nothing but shorts most of the ...

Re: Wetsuit for Seattle summer

Thanks for the advice, man. You ever try to combine a wetsuite and one of those 1 or 2mm vests they sell? Not sure 2 suites are worth the ivnvestment for the time I am there, but maybe one main 3/2 and an add on vest?? Or might that be too tight on the torso? Also where do you launch in lake Wasingt...

Wetsuit for Seattle summer

I lived in Florida for a few years and going to Seattle to kitesurf for a few months from end of May to September. Never had the need for a wetsuit before, but for Seattle weather, I think I'll have to have one. Any suggestions on what thickness to get? Would love to hear from the locals as to what ...

Re: how to keep a seat harness from riding up

Thanks for all the replies, guys. Maybe I do need to look at getting a different type or a different size. I've got a 35" waist, and have an XL size Dakine seat harness. Maybe I shoud try a Large instead. That, or grow a beer belly, that may do the trick! If you have a seat harness or have tried sev...

Re: how to keep a seat harness from riding up

somantics 8)

yes, to the observer they do not ride up - that's true. but to the user they still have a tendency and the fact that they do not ride up to your waist comes at a considerable discomfort (the leg straps digging into your groin and cutting off circulation).

how to keep a seat harness from riding up

I prefer a seat to a waist harness, but of course the drawback is it's got a tendency to ride up. Any idea how to keep it from doing that? Are there knee straps I can attach it to or something similar to keep it from going up?

Thanks

need new footrstrap for spleene; or large foot pads

Just tore off a footstrap on my spleen door yesterday so in the market for a new one. Are they ever sold as straps only or do I have to buy the whole pad and strap combo? Where could I buy a replacement? Would other manufacturer's pads fit the board? If so, I might like to try something else, though...
