Anyone been?

I'm thinking of a trip first 2 weeks of aug.

Was going to stay at the Popoara Villas, read 2 bad reviews but it looks like the best (cheapest option).

Is the coral a problem, i hate kiting in boots.

I'm flying Glasgow to Auckland via LA with Virgin. They allow 2X23KG checked in bags and 1Xsport bag up to 32Kg. Thats pretty fucking good by todays baggage allowance standards.

Moving to Auckland and just wondering if there is anywhere to snow kite on the North Island??? I know there are a couple of resorts but i'm not sure of the topography etc.

I just got back from Maui, wasn't the cheapest trip ever but not overly expensive either. accomodation was 100 dollars a night for a studio apt Car hire was cheap but insurance was expensive all in about $900 for 2 weeks and that wasn't with full insurance. Probably spent about $50-75 a day on food ...

Whats the chat with the weather in Maui? I'm off there in 2 weeks and every time i check the weather its 12-18 knots and cloudy? Still kiteable but i expected stranger wind? I know the trades don't really kick in untill late april early may but i thought there'd me more wind around. Does local topog...

I've got an excel suit, its awesome. Had the spray problem too, got some velcro bands, think they're made by Gul. Problem solved.

I've got an 11 and 7 and like to set them up with the front lines on the top knot and the back lines on the bottom. I find them more comfortable to ride that way. I like to ride them with the bar close in and find that if the wind dies whilst unhooked the kite doesn't stall.
