Re: winged shoulder blade

long thoracic nerve palsy is pretty random, we don't really know much about it, why it occurs or what causes it to resolve. most of the time it is spontaneous. it's a shit of a thing to retrain, often if you're not getting any results it's because whatever has caused the nerve palsy is still in effe...

Re: More medical advice please .... : )

Navicular fracture requires 6-8 weeks of immobilisation then a gradual return to sport. if you are still having strong pain 5 months after the injury then you have almost certainly not allowed it to unite properly. i would strongly suggest an MR or CT scan soon because if the fracture is allowed to ...

Re: which kites have light bar pressure?

+1 on Ozone kites from 2008. the 2009 kites went to 4-line and have a bit more bar pressure. the 2008 edge, sport and light are extremely light on the bar. Also IMHO they went a step back with the 2009 kites, the 2008 ones are the pick of the bunch :thumb:

Re: The Eddy Lansink Extreme high jump!

now that is some serious loopage. one day ruben is gunna throw an epic kiteloop with a full boardoff and land it. that will be a great day. Tone; 35+ knots of wind will do that to any kite. also the stronger it gets, the more gusty it gets, generally speaking. Short lines with less stretch (than lon...

Man i would have loved to see a ruben-style loop in that jump right at the start, still pretty epic though!

Re: wave sailing vs. kitesurfing

Windsurfing jaws in 30 foot overheads =! kiting overhead shore breaks. You are comparing two entirely different things. Also it's a moot point. If you like windsurfing, go and windsurf. If you like kitesurfing, go and kite.

Re: Does anyone at your beach ride a Fixed Bar set up?

Yep there's a guy here who rides 5 and 7.5m Generators on a surfboard with a fixed line setup. He's rarely hooked in actually. Reckons he's tried just about all types of setups for the waves but the little C-kites with a surfboard and fixed bar are the best. More power to him i say!

Re: Calling the docs again... broken navicular!

depends on how the doc is feeling, but if you cannot see any fracture line on X-ray and you are fully weight bearing on it with no pain after a few days, i would think the consensus would likely be that there is no fracture present. that would be logical. however it seems like there was perhaps a sl...
