hey man you should check out Watamu in Kenya . It has a great flat section before the reef which averages about 100m off the beach. its ideal for practising all your gybes and tacks and then it has waves that get gradually bigger the further you head out past the reef making it ideal for staying ins...

i can imagine if you unhook and then need too hook in by grabbing the chicken loop and twisting it to line up with your spreader bar the loop would release leaving you in an annoying situation where you have to stop and sort it out before you could continue riding

got my new RPMs today they are fantastic was lucky enough to get out on both the 9m and the 12m in the same day . The 12m was great but the 9m wow omg it was fantastic. Hey mate you dont need to worry about malaria that much at all. The onlything you need to do is take malaria tablets. lived out there for the most of my life and never got itso you will be fine!
