Kiting on St. John

Heading to Virgin Islands in April for a few days. Staying in a villa on St. John. I was gonna just wing it when I got there, but figured I may ask some of the experts on here. Anywhere to ride on St. John? If not, where is the closest decent launch in the islands?

Re: OLD SCHOOL, BRING IT BACK!!!!!

jason_ssr, if you really want more difficulty try some windsurfing, freestyle.if you want it easier..keep kiting. If I wanted harder I would do Ironman races. I'm not interested in hard. I'm interested in board riding and doing what boardriders do. There are no waves, or snow where Im from, every h...

Re: OLD SCHOOL, BRING IT BACK!!!!!

From what Ive witnessed, there are two different direction people come into this sport. They either come from boardsports, or windsports. The windsport mentality is generally happy with the status quo. They like doing what they can do and thats it. This is why we clash with windsurfers so much. They...

Whats really sad is that some people still think the kite matters at all. If you can ride, you can ride anything and rip. If you are a kook, a C kite doesnt make you any less kook. If you can rip, a SLE doesnt make you any less stylish. Which kite you fly is about as important as what brand pump you...

JS, I dont particularly blame the scientific community, its more a result of our society. Science cost money. Those investing the money want to see results. Pure science doesnt always have concrete results. So, in order to keep funding coming in, the speculation begins. The problem then becomes that...

The science community is just as corrupt and open to pursuasion as any other group. They use basic data and run with it to create a doomsday scenario to secure grant money. It keeps them all employed. Now they are all set and spend their day researching a phenomenon that cannot be proven. Why can it...

When discussing style, it has little to do with what discipline you like. Style is a freedom of expression, and competitions are in direct conflict with style. Competitions try to confine a rider to a set of measureables. When dealing with sports with soul, introducing measurables and payouts destro...

I still dont have a cam available, but one of the local sport photographers took this one of me riding it. Unfortunatley you cant see my killer graphics. She has some others that are better, but ...
