1:1 mod for TD2

Has anyone tried this? I'm thinking this will lighten bar pressure and give the kite some "feel", but I don't want to lose too much depower either.

What wind speed do you want to use this kite for the most? I want to use this kite from 12 - 22 knots approx I'm 240lbs and I'm on a 16.5 Ion2 in this wind range. I can hold it down at just over 20, but ideally I'd switch down to a 12.5 at around 18. For 12 - 22 range, my ideal kite would be the 14...

Also, if the shit hits the fan with your kite, board, etc.. they dont' leave you hanging... http://www.oceanextremesports.com 40 is all we...

I haven't tried other sizes, and that could be the thing. Buying another smaller T2 would overlap my Ion2's, which I wouldn't do anyway. I'll keep the 17 for those calm, low wind days when nothing else will fly. It's not a bad kite as long as the wind is fairly steady. Maybe its you. ? Maybe it is....

So your 17M is inverting in gusty conditions..? MMmmm Its a huge light wind kite, how gusty can it possible be in light wind?. Maybe your over riding your kite. I would think a real world range would be between 8-19 knots for that huge thing, anything over that i would switch size. I have a 14M and...

I am also considering buying this kite. If it is flown in bridle mode and you attach the fifth line, wouldn't that be an easier and safer way to self land? You could also attach your leash to the 5th line and when you pull the release, you'd be flagging on one line. Curious if anyone has flown it i...

Launch is just as easy as any bow kite. Steer to edge and up it goes. In light winds you might have to pull in a little extra rear line. I almost always self launch. I just let the kite drift back on it's leading edge. When the lines get tight, steer to the edge and up she goes. When you pull the pr...
