Yes, very painful. And tinnitus can follow, been there and still have it.

Now I use a Gath helmet and have no problems hearing what's going on.

Thanks Rickl, it improved considerably during the first 6 months so I'm thankful and impressed by the healing capacity of the body. But I don't expect it to ever heal completely. Hi Urban! Ok, so it was you who ordered one. I didn't realize we were THREE Mako riders in this country! :D Well, hopefully there are more, but so far I haven't met one... But of those who have tried my 150x34, everyone has said that it was great fun. Will probably write a report too once I've tried...

Love the "darkness falls upon the land and sea" colour of that Instinct, too. Almost makes me want to get one...

I've seen several inflatables exploding, but so far never a foil (and the foil users are plenty where I normally ride).
