Re: Traveling NC to HI - US Air Baggage Tips?

Try shipping your gear via Fed-X, two or three day ahead of you.
Used to ship all our camera gear that way when the airlines started charging you up the a$$ for extra bags!

Re: Switch Kites

Had a chance to see one in action down in Hatteras. Nice looking kites.

Would love to know the price point of the kites. I've heard rumors of them starting at around the $800 complete!

Re: windy kiteboard destinations april

Cape Hatteras, Outer Banks, OBX whatever you care to call it! Mainly warm southwest wind in the spring. Flat water in the sound and waves if want on the ocean side. Hard to go wrong there. Also there are plenty of qualified schools to get you started if you need. Try Jay Crawford at Outer Banks Kiti...

Re: Orange Bladders

If it's the orange one's you get from "Airtime" (the saran wrap kind) try using packaging tape. Not duct tape but the clear thin packaging tape. Used that on one a year ago and it still holding strong!

Hope this helps,

Re: Really Bummed

This happened to me back in 98 with my original Wipika 8.5, it fell out of the back of my truck when I forgot to close the tailgate. Luckily I found the kite but never the bar. Agree with Toby, check your local kite shops, and your beaches someone may try and sell it. good luck, hope you get your ki...

Re: Problems with Eclipse kites

It is not fair to involve Dimitri's private life with these events. At some point he felt he had to leave Eclipse because of what was happening. This does not make him less responsible + he probably knew about the problems well before anyone of us. The Screamer is a very good kite (if you like that...

Re: Source for Mini-Tuttle fin boxes?

Check out the NSP adapter.
You can use/pick up any FCS fins and use them with the adapter box.
Trying to find out where to get them here in the US though!
