Re: north trust bar 2012

Maybe there is more than one Bar option for 2012 8) Standard bar similar to 2011, and a pimping blue bar with UBER tech lines... I dunno...but maybe

Re: Kevin Langeree injured during PKRA Fuerte Final

Dunno in COMPETITION anyways, "Pushing the limits" in this sport should't be about doing handle passes in 40 to 50 knot gusty wind in choppy waters and getting more points for it. Then it's just about who can do what trick in ###knots...what next, hurricanes? Typhoons? Not exactly. A competition is...

Re: Kevin Langeree injured during PKRA Fuerte Final

Ahhhhh what? :angryfire: Limit kiteboarding at its highest competitve level??? Yeah and lets limit Formula1 drivers to 50kph the wet so they dont hurt themselves. Lets set the bar in high-jumping at 1meter so that no-one falls too far. Lets make swimming competitors wear floaters so they stay afloat...

Re: Cabrinha lines- question

What year are the other lines from? The Switchblade 3's used 24m lines, so most 24m lines will be okay (I would be suprised if not all 24m Cab kite lines would work). One of the best things about the SB3 setup is how easy it is to adjust the line lengths - so if the line you do use as a replacement ...

Re: Kitecam session - New Zealand

oooo it was a good session at Orewa today - Jamie Barrow, Brock Cleary, Torrin Bright, Kelby Bright and myself enjoying the flat water and swell rolling in under 20knots! :thumb: (haha I'm a bit rusty after my euro-trip - 4weeks without a kite :-? ) Give me an email at work so I can contact you when...

Re: Lake Garda, Italy kitesurfing...

What's the wind up there like at this time of the year (Garda)?

I'll be there for one day (1st August), so hoping to get some water time...seems like a pretty lake to be near even if the wind doesn't blow :thumb:

Re: Railey to blind frustration

Kailuakiter, good point about the high arm - if your arm is high, it is EXTREMELY hard to land blind and pass... I found that (after pulling really hard on the bar and looking over my shoulder) it is really important to rotate your arm so that your hand holding the bar is in the small of your back, ...

Re: Railey to blind frustration

From the video, I thought you did really well with popping and getting into a railey...where you went wrong - 1) not pulling hard enough to your front hip, and 2) you seemed to be holding the bar to close to the end (which turned the kite and accelerated your body) - hold it in the middle of the bar...

Re: Pentax W60 camera?

I've tried my W60 twice with Camrig, and been pretty happy with the results - you'll learn a lot about rigging it the first few times you go out I recon... At the moment I'm playing with the zoom setting - how zoomed in are others? I tried 2.0x and 1.8x but feel they're too much...thinking no zoom??...
