Re: Florida Grey Suits

Steve Schafer RIP SteveSchafer2.JPG Exact details unknown - sharks have been abundant - no one else out [on water] at the time - kite went down - Guards stated he was swimming towards kite - then not swimming - water discolored - Guard scrambled paddle board - he was conscious to beach apparently; b...

Re: looking for board advise for backside riding

Paul - I meant to reply a while back - hope you still check this thread Try Richie Buehn in Melbourne (under Buehn Surfcraft I think, or call Spectrum, he shaped for them) He's shaped several thousand boards (all kinds) & has been a supreme waterman for years IMHO, he's the Jimmy Lewis of the East C...

Re: Flexifoil Ion 3 build quality you be the judge!

Mmmm... sorry you've joined the club... I've had several kites (diff mfr's/old & new) blow when flipping them over - usually lotsa press. & it kinks,,, hot sand & storage (car or wherever, are not your kite's friend)... a back-up or cold beer helps... ...the last one was my 12m Atom8, but it was tra...

Re: Ion2 LE Bladder Replacement - Instructions

SB - sorry no pic's - removal/replacement is tedious but not hard... very similar for many kites...as long as there are not "fittings" to be replaced (e.g.Cabrinha's - i.e. extra parts) & this assumes you will not remove any strut bladders... 1) buy new pack of tie-wraps/zip-ties... use same size as...

Re: Sucessful removal of misplaced stick-on pad/strap

Any comments on location relative to Quad fin cluster. Any thoughts regarding how sweet spot position would change when I set up board as thruster (I did not test that) ? ...fun taking those things (or any glued pads) off, eh??? ...after setting a lot of boards up, & getting comments like, "I'd rid...

Re: Naish Flash 4"10'

Valsema - I rode this board for awhile... it is a good board for what it is... a small, versatile directional... & can be ridden "backwards" - like a twin-tip... but only as a last resort when jibing or transition-type move... & can be ridden toeside very easily due to its size... .... but because i...

Re: a MUST read for everyone (Safety)

thanx, DesRes: fact 1) complacency... [can't emphasize enuff]...too many kiters who are just that...complacent - about gear, attitude, "never happen too me", "gee, the kite felt normal...", etc.... its easy & everybody is guilty of it... resist it... Ever break a line? 3 line kites don't fly well......

Re: We need a GK position on security issue

BTW, the LF Lux sets are great!!! really comfortable & offer a good foot-grip/position... but watch the aircushion section after a few hours, they've been known to blow out... I jammed a small piece/layer of eva (from an old pad set) into the area of the one pad of mine that blew out & manged to re-...
