Re: Flyboards Flywave.

The flywave is a crossover twintip board. You can ride this board in the waves with the advantage of a twintip (no jibing and kiteloopproof due to it's full woodcore) but you can make short turns without spinning out the finns. You do need a good amount of power in your kite to ride this board (simi...

Re: Speed 3 12m Good big conditions session

Speed3 12m is an awesome kite for riding overpowered and going big! I ve been riding it up to 32 knots with my 80kgs and a Flyradical S (128x38).
-Depower is huge
-Kite is super stable
-Lift and hangtime are just insane, never flown a kite with so much lift.

Re: Flysurfer Speed 2 - Standard vs. Delux Material

Hi, If you buy a speed3 15 besides your speed2 19 deluxe, you can go for normal cloth. If you have plenty budget, I would go for a deluxe 15. The flying and turning speed of the deluxe fabric is slightly better, also the upwind performance and stability improves a bit. Speed 3 is improved quite a lo...

Re: Long Distance Boards????

It might look like a heavy board on the picture, but it's actually really light. I used a 10mm paulownia woodcore (300kg/m3) and little glass as the concave provides quite a bit of stiffness. Haha reinventing the Mako... Not really, the only thing which is the same is the fact that it has a bigger c...

Re: Long Distance Boards????

I ve done quite a few long distance downwinders and made a special board for it now. Before, I did some long downwinders on prototypes of the Flyboards ,,Flywave" (for example from Scheveningen to Vlieland, 155km) This board board is a crossover twintip / directional with a length of 145cm, 3 6cm fi...

Re: The Eddy Lansink Extreme high jump!

Hi, The wind was really super strong that day, I was totally overpowered with my 8m Psycho4. After the huge jump, I was going streight into a steep wave with windsurfers coming from everywhere, so I decided to make a ,,rescue jump" steering my kite from 9.30 to 12. After landing my chicken loop got ...

Re: race board vs door style boards???

I ve been testing the Flydoor XL vs the north racing board. The door is getting on earlier and is a lot easier to control. If the wind is picking up a bit more the North racing board will get you more upwind. If you want to go for the best lightwind board to ride and have fun, I would say go for a r...
