Re: Alpine Foil 5.0 titanium review

There is not the perfect material for all, but there are several materials that could do the task with the correct design. In my opinionion titanium is perfect for the fuselage because is a long and thin structure with several connections. Is not a fishing rod. Remember that talking about "carbon" i...

Re: first 360 hydrofoil from Marc blanc !

Hi great attempt! :thumb: I think that with a foil kite should be more easy (less difficult) compared to a tube kite because of the more inertia when flying. I've seen video of 360 made standing (no bauggy no sky....on feet) on land in very low wind with foil kites...not with pump kites. With a pump...

Re: Kite Drama Episode 101

Exactly....the spot there is full of corals...think what could happen if the bar get stuck in there when you're climbing the lines....the kite could get air and fly.....go in loop....bad situation

Re: Kite Drama Episode 101

Great video, if there was a Chuck Norris movie I would :thumb: but considering that is real life I quote Flyfish :-?

all went OK but if something go wrong he would be without a finger, or drawned underwater

Ps: I've been there (as a 7days tourist :D )

Re: How small of a kite do you use?

I'm an occasional hydrofoiler and like to use it mainly under 13-15 knots, so till a 9m kite. Over this I'd like more use regular surfboard in waves. But coming back to the original question, consider that the kahoona (I've had 2011 and now 2012 5,5m) are really grunty kites and with 5,5 (that is a ...

Re: Flysurfer Peak2 vs Lotus Speed 4

very very different kites

Sp4 is all about jump and speed. Closed cells pure foil.

Peak2 is pure freeride. Somehow more similar to tube kites. Smart kite.

I vote Pk2 9m for massive range, easy to open/close/have a rest and cheaper, but best thing would be you to have a test of both

Re: Inflatable board for hydrofoiling

Why not a splittable one? Take a skimsurf o something similar around 140-150cm, quite thin, and split it. With 70-75 cm it would suit a suitcase.

Only concern is about the foil mast, it's longer than standard luggage dimension....how could you take it without fees?
