Re: Slingshot 2016 Gear Is Here

I just watched the "Down the line" video on the Surf SST Kite, and nothing about that video shows the down the line ability of the kite. Just a hint, but if you want to display the down the line drift of a kite, put video of the kite actually drifting down the line in the video, not the guys riding ...

Re: Windy spots in Cali?

Summer winds in Socal are very reliable. The best spot would be Leo Carillo/County Line. Blows almost every day for the time period you mentioned, most days would be single digit kites, with some 10-12m days thrown in.

Hawaii in August

Looking to do a trip to the islands in August. I am open to any location, who can tell me the best island, and best part of the island to get wind and waves is August.

Not interested in flat water, hoping for waves in the 6-15' range with 8-9M wind.

Re: Pro Kite Surf Why I do not compete on KSP Tour by Ben Wi

I hope KSP keeps portraying a crappy image of kitesurfing. The less people that join this sport, the better. Once people realize how killer this is, we will be overrun, our spots will be too crowded, and we will all look back on the early 2000's as the golden age. Enjoy it while it lasts. Here are s...

Snow Kiting vs. Kitesurfing

Are there any real differences between snow kiting vs. kitesurfing that I need to be aware of? I have kitesurfed for five years, but never snowkited. I have snowboarded for 20 years. Going to Mammoth this weekend, looks like it's going to be windy, so thinking I might give snowboarding with my kite ...

Saint Malo, France

I will be visiting France for a week starting August 14th. I will be near Laval, and it looks like Saint Malo is not too far away, and there is kiting there. Can anyone give me some information on kiting in Saint Malo? Are there waves to kite there this time of year? Typical wind speeds and water te...

Re: Kiting kids

I'm just getting started teaching my son. He is 9, and weighs 85 lbs. The biggest question/concern I have is what size kite to have him fly when he first hits the water. He has been flying my 6M Rebel on the beach. We typically have winds here in SoCal in the 16-19mph range. Is that going to be the...

Re: Firewire v. Resin 8 surfboards

I noticed that Resin 8 doesn't even have kiteboards on their website any more. That sure was a short lived run! Anyone have the skinny on that?
