Re: North Neo vs. Naish Park

My pleasure. I am 200lbs, I ride 2015 Neos 9-12m and 5'11 North Pro Series 2014. Definitely go with the Neo. Park sucks in wave. Trust me. Tried extensively in both Brasil and Maui. Simply not in its DNA. People used to label it wave kite cause it's fast. But from the moment they removed the bridles...

Re: North Neo vs. Naish Park

Hey Bryan, was in your same situation last year, transitioning from Park 2014 to Neo 2015. These are my considerations: *****NAISH PARK***** - fast and light. Minimal bar pressure. - atrocious drift. In 2014 they removed bridles and, yes, the kite is faster, but the #$cker doesn't depower well when ...

Re: North Neo 2014

I been using extensively the Neo 2015 since end of last year. I have travelled already on couple of long haul flights with the kites packed tight and i had zero issues. I don't see any additional protection though compared to 2014. I think it all comes down to making sure u don't have too much sand ...

Re: Single front line flag out systems 2015

I personally researched, tested and wrote in the forum extensively about single vs double flagging line (not to mention 5 lines bars which are the best except when you ride waves since the 5 line, if not released immediately, can rip the kite in half). I tested Naish, RRD, North pre and post 2015. N...

Re: Valuing your kites for the used market?

very good tip for buy-it-now price on eBay thank you. I generally use eBay for single kite listing and i use iKitesurf for quivers. iKitesurf is great. you can find decent deals and if you price fairly you sell it. It have couple of scam artists but generally speaking I had zero issues so far. on eB...

Re: Valuing your kites for the used market?

Cabrinha and North keeping value much better because of the support demand from south america which is a growing market. Slingshot and Naish are far behind. Naish suffers because of a) awful timing for 2015 gear intro (ride, trip and fly kites introduced in summer 2014!) and b) the very obsolete Oct...

Re: Just came back from Costa Rica

Blue Dream is everything but American comfort food. Are you sure you went to the same place??
Blue dream is mostly italian food.
12m is useless there. obviously is season dependent.
October to January you won't need.
After January maybe.

Re: Just came back from Costa Rica

Been there several times. Its a great spot. Super windy. Leave 12m at home. You won't use. Have a 7m and 9m. fairly flat and choppy. Great ride to Bolanos island in front. Turquoise water and white sand. The go to guy there is Nicola, owner of Blue Dream Hotel. The hotel and restaurant is great and ...

Re: North Surfboard Repair - Pls help

Thats a very easy fix . a) use 80 grit paper to really remove all the detached material and prepare the area for epoxy. b) make sure the board is absolutely dry c) apply SunCure Fiberglass. You can buy it here: http://www.amazon.com/Ding-All-Cure-Surfboard-Repair/dp/B004BG0APY/ref=sr_1_2?s=sporting-...
